Leadership Training in Amsterdam
Most leadership training is for groups. This training is only for you.
I offer tailored 1-on-1 leadership training for managers at every level. As an experienced leader, internationally certified coach and professional trainer in one, I help you make real progress in your leadership, fast.
A 30-minute introduction, no strings attached.

Nobody handed you a manual.
You can be great at your job. You can be smart. You can genuinely care about people. And still feel like you are figuring it out as you go in your role as a manager.
That is not a failure on your part. Most new managers get promoted for their expertise, then have to figure out how to lead people on their own.
The good news: leadership is a skill, not a talent. And skills can be learned.
of new managers never receive any formal training in how to lead

Group training has real value, and I deliver it myself. But a 1-on-1 program is a different experience altogether. Think of it as a personal masterclass: the premium option for leaders who want to grow quickly and deeply.
Training in a group
- ● A shared program for the whole group
- ● Attention divided across all participants
- ● A broad set of themes for a broad audience
- ● You practice with general cases and scenarios
A 1-on-1 masterclass with me
- ✓ A clear program, shaped around your situation and goals
- ✓ My full attention, just for you
- ✓ Only the themes that actually matter to you
- ✓ We practice with your real situations
1-on-1 Leadership training that works.
What do you really want from your trainer?
Someone who has done it themselves, I would say. With ten years of leadership experience, five of them as a director of international teams in the corporate world, I recognise the situations you are in. The high pressure, the corporate politics, the uncertainty, the tight deadlines.
After my leadership career, I trained further as an ICF-certified Co-Active coach. That lets me help you not only with what you do as a leader, but also with who you want to be and which beliefs are holding you back.
And because coaching and training are different things, I recently completed the Brain Bakery Train-the-Trainer year program, led by L&D thought leader Jeanne Bakker. It is a forward-thinking method built on the latest insights from neuroscience and psychology. Research by Ebbinghaus shows that we forget up to 90% of what we learn within a week, unless a training is deliberately designed to work against that. And that is exactly what I do.
How does it work?
What do the sessions look like?
Insight
I introduce the theory and models that fit the theme of that session.
Practice
With a case from your own work, or a scenario I design for you. Often through role-play, sometimes by working through a real situation step by step.
Embedding
We discuss how you apply it this week and what your first step is.
Between sessions you practice with what you have learned, so that it truly sticks.

Not sure which program fits you best? We will figure it out together in the intro call.
Frequently asked questions.
We figure that out together in the intro call. Based on where you are now, where you want to go and your biggest challenges, I advise you which package fits you best. You then decide whether you want to start.
Yes. The themes are a starting point, not a fixed curriculum. During the intake we look at which themes are most valuable for you. If a theme turns out not to be relevant for your role, we replace it with one that is.
In short: coaching is about your mindset, identity and self-insight. Training is about skills, and practicing and applying them.
Which one you choose depends on what you need:
• Leadership Coaching & Executive Coaching: We focus on your identity (who do you want to be as a leader?), your emotions and breaking through limiting beliefs. (Coaching works for junior and mid-level managers as well as C-level executives; the approach is the same, the level of the questions differs.)
• 1-on-1 Leadership Training: We focus on concrete leadership skills such as motivating, performance management, giving feedback and handling difficult conversations.
The difference is in the emphasis: In practice it is never black and white. My training programs always include targeted coaching sessions to make sure the skills truly become your own. And in coaching tracks I add practical training elements the moment you need them. Your choice simply sets the main focus.
Both have their place, and a group training at a good institute can be a solid choice. But a 1-on-1 program is a different level altogether.
Every exercise is applied directly to your own work, not to a generic case study. We practice the exact conversations, decisions and situations you are facing right now.
You have my full attention, and we shape the program around you. We spend more time on the themes that matter to you and skip what is not relevant, instead of following a fixed program built for the average participant. And between sessions, you can reach me directly for support.
Think of it as the difference between a classroom and a personal masterclass. If you want depth, focus and a program shaped entirely around you, 1-on-1 is the stronger choice.
We usually start with the theory: I teach you a new model or a concrete technique. Think of how to adapt your communication style to others, how intrinsic motivation really works, or how to give feedback in a way that is both assertive and empathic.
Then we get straight to work with a real case from your own work, or one I design specifically for you. By practicing in a safe setting, you get better at the skill quickly. In the two weeks after the session you put it into practice at work. When we meet again, or in between, we discuss how it went.
We always work from your specific question or goal. Maybe you are often too hard on yourself, dread difficult conversations, feel you are not making the impact you want, or feel uncertain when speaking with your manager.
Together we explore that question in depth, in a way that ultimately teaches you to answer it yourself.
In most cases, yes. Check with your HR department or manager. Many employers cover leadership training in full, because it directly contributes to your performance and that of your team. Research shows that leadership training has an average return of 7 times the investment.
Essential takes around 2 months. Complete around 4 months. Intensive around 6 months. We schedule the sessions in a rhythm that works for you, usually every two to three weeks.
We can also place the sessions closer together, but keeping time between them is exactly what lets you practice with the material. That is how you really make it your own.
Brain Bakery is a leading Dutch training institute founded by Jeanne Bakker, voted L&D Person of the Year in 2020 and recognised as a thought leader in the field. Its Train-the-Trainer program is built around one principle: no more boring learning.
The program certifies trainers in a method grounded in neuroscience and psychology, where every choice is designed to make learning land and to produce measurable results, not just a pleasant day in a classroom. It taught me how people actually absorb, retain and apply new skills, and how to design sessions around that.
That is what you get in our work together: training built to change how you lead, not just what you know for a week.
The half-day sessions are with me in Amsterdam Centrum. That gives the focus and intensity a training calls for. The coaching sessions you can do in person or online, whichever you prefer. Many clients do one coaching session in person and the rest online, or the other way around.
You can reach me via WhatsApp for quick questions or a fast reflection. I am fully committed to your success.
